The chemicals used by any pest controller, by there nature, are harmful to the pests and can have some side effects to humans and pets. Rest assured we will take proper precautions to protect you and your family, even the furry and feathered ones.

This may require the premises to be vacated for a short period and/or access limited to certain areas that have been treated.

Pest CONTROL is a preventative measure to hopefully keep any nasties, creepy crawlies and little varmints out of your home, investment or business BEFORE they get inside. This can include sprays, traps and removal of debris that might harbour them. Weather, climate, human interference and building wear and tear can all be contributing factors to the effectiveness and longevity of preventative treatments.

Pest EXTERMINATION is the elimination of your troublesome uninvited guests once they have already arrived. It does happen and not all preventative treatment can be 100% proof against all pests all the time. 

Rats, mice and possums are a bigger problem in Winter due to seeking the warmer temperatures and shelter found inside buildings.

Bugs such as spiders tend to seek cooler temperatures in the Summer months.

Mosquitoes are Summer pests and are more prevalent when there has been good rains and nearer to bodies of water than can harbour their eggs. 

They tend to be attracted to:

• CO2 emissions in animal breath exhalation, 
• Individuals with the blood type "o",
• particular chemicals on human skin - such as lactic acid,
• Human females, especially pregnant.

Ants are more attracted by water and sugar

Cockroaches are more attracted by food leavings such as crumbs etc.

 When it comes to regularly scheduled pest control, we suggest having your home treated once a quarter or every two to three months if you have had to have pests removed before. They can have a tendency to return within that period. Not because the control has failed necessarily, but due to the nature of the pest.

When it comes to larger pests such as possums - trap and relocation can be used and be just as effective. As for insects - it can be much harder to not use methods that would not destroy nests and the ability to re-produce.
